SYLPH July 2010 was released today. The bonus included a little mascot of HiroC. Very cute! There is a new chapter for the comic as well as a report on OnoD’s birthday episode where they went to see the Ushiku Daibutsu in Kamiya’s hometown of Ushiku.
A big announcement was made in this issue. SYLPH will be starting its own drama CD label and the first drama will be DGS Hibiki! It will be Dear Girl ~Stories~ Hibiki Black Hibiki Hen. More details will be available in the August issue of SYLPH, to be released June 22.

HAPPY 32nd BIRTHDAY, ONO DAISUKE!!!
This year’s birthday episode for OnoD (#160) took place in Ushiku, Ibaraki, home of the Ushiku Daibutsu. They also went to a petting zoo.

From now on, Radio Osaka’s broadcast of Dear Girl ~Stories~ will be on Sundays at 23:00 (11PM).
In SYLPH vol.12, it was announced that starting with the July issue (vol.13, 5/22 release), SYLPH will become a monthly magazine. It has been semi-monthly up until this point. The next three issues will include DGS extras and mail-order items. See here for more information.

Oricon 2/23
The opening single of the NDS Dear Girl ~Stories~ Hibiki – Hibiki Tokkun Daisakusen! game, Netsuai S-O-S!, ranked #16 on Oricon’s daily singles chart on its release day. It moved up to #12 on its second day and now on its third day, is ranked #14. Originally planned for release on January 27, the single was delayed and released on February 24.
Those who purchase the single at Animate stores will receive a promotional poster while supplies last.
DGS Hibiki goods which are currently being sold at Dengekiya, Amazon Japan, and Animate are now available for purchase at Chara-Ani.com.
December 31st’s Gundam 00 Festival 2009-2010 A trailer for the trailblazer event at the Tokyo International Forum will be released on DVD June 25. It will be two discs totaling 150 minutes and retail for 6090 yen, tax included. The preview for the movie screened only at the event will be included on the DVD, but the DVD will not include live performances by the bands who sung the opening and endings songs.

Congratulations to Kamiya Hiroshi for winning the Seiyuu Award for his portrayal of Araragi Koyomi in Bakemonogatari at the 9th annual Tokyo Anime Awards! The awards ceremony will take place March 27th at the Tokyo International Anime Fair.
