On DGS 116, it was announced that the third DGS koukai rokuon (public recording) will take place at CharaHobby 2009, August 29-30 at Makuhari Messe. The specific day and time is still TBA. Similar to the public recording in 2008, in order to get a seat in the audience area, fans will have to submit a lottery application from SYLPH magazine (probably the July issue). Fans who do not get chosen in the lottery will still be able to watch the recording outside the seating area.

There will be a special DGS ticket bundle for CharaHobby that will be available for purchase at Animate starting July 22. The bundle will include tickets to both days of CharaHobby as well a DGS handkerchief set. One handkerchief will feature a design with the DGS nekos, and the other a collage of all the Dear Voice lines hand-written by HiroC and OnoD.

For the 2009 CCP (Charin Charin Project), tshirts will once again be sold. HiroC’s design will feature an A-like figure with the words “Now Peak!” and “here” at the top, and OnoD’s will have a design that looks like sweat under the armpits. A design also came in from Chanko chan that says “DGS” (Debu dakedo Guddo Sumeru/I’m fat but smell good).

More details about the public recording will be announced later.

Update: The designs for the handkerchief included in the DGS ticket bundle (aka Hankachiketto) have been published on the SYLPH editor blog.

DGS’s newly released single, My Dear Girl!, has ranked 10th and 15th, respectively, on the Daily and Weekly singles chart on Oricon! This is pretty amazing.

Hibiki vol.1

The DGS Hibiki comic was so popular that they had to reiprint it! Ukkari juuban! (Careless second printing) OnoD says it wasn’t ukkari (careless), though, and that they’re reprinting it because it sold well.

The reprint contains a different obi that will only be available until the end of May. Rare obi! Obis usually don’t change because it costs more money to print a different one, but we all know how DGS tends to use its budget, hehe. On the first obi, HiroC wrote, “Ono kun said something good!” and OnoD wrote, “Already a best seller!” On the new obi, HiroC wrote, “Ono kun said something good again!” and OnoD’s response (even though he wrote his comment before HiroC) was, “Already a second printing!”

…Yes, the only difference between these two are the obis.

Fujoshi ssu ch.10

It was mentioned on DGS #107 that a DGS Hibiki strap is shown in Okachimachi Hato sensei’s Fujoshi ssu chapter in SYLPH vol.6. I checked and indeed! On page 164, a girl has a DGS strap hanging out of her bag. It’s the strap that came with SYLPH vol.2. “That must mean she’s a dear girl too!”

Just an amusing tidbit. 🙂

Next week is OnoD’s birthday! Sounds like they have something big planned for him, hehe. Should be lots of fun.
