SYLPH vol.10

SYLPH vol.10

The cover for SYLPH vol.10 has been publicized! This cover is “Sa-ya ga Kaku Arienai Series Dai 2 Dan (Impossible Series #2 Drawn By Saya).” Looking at it um… Yeah… It’s pretty impossible. Even more so than #1 (the cover with HiroC and OnoD making the heart mark together), in my opinion. There’s no way Kamiya would touch OnoD’s face or let OnoD touch his, LoL. Where does Iwasaki sensei get these ideas from anyway? Haha.

Black Thunder will be making an appearance throughout this new chapter. Try to find them all!

Again, SYLPH vol.10 will be released November 24. Furoku is a Dear Girl ~Stories~ Hibiki drama CD which will include a drama track and voices from the game. Purchase the magazine at Animate or any of the participating SYLPHmate stores and you’ll receive a DGS Hibiki postcard of the cover illustration.

The 2010/1/21 issue of Dengeki Girl’s Style will include a Dear Girl ~Stories~ Hibiki Christmas pin-up poster. It will be an original illustration by Iwasaki sensei. The magazine will be released December 10.

On the Theater page of the Durarara!! website, you can watch the Perfect Guide which includes interviews with the cast. Both Kamiya and OnoD make an appearance. OnoD’s comment at the end is funny. He’s so M…

A couple photos of Uta Hiroshi during KiraFes rehearsals can be found at the Kiramune staff blog. It was announced a couple days ago that the event’s theme song will be “EVER DREAM.” The song will be available for early streaming via mobile phone starting November 25.

Official reports are already up at Dengeki Online: DGS booth, Durarara!! stage

Here are a few details from the DGS public recording from what I was able to gather. I guess the audience was told not to write spoilers in their blogs so people are being pretty vague. We’ll have to find out next week when the kouroku moyou is aired.

  • Chanko Chanko chan appeared on stage to the Mario Theme.
    There was a Luigi too.
  • Some kind of collaboration with a food company??
OnoD mentioned on the radio before that he wanted to do one. I guess another of his careless utterings will be coming true, haha. The audience was asked what flavor they would like and everyone yelled out, “Durian!!” to which OnoD replied, “I knew everyone would say that! But would you really buy durian flavor!?”
  • Shikakuteki (visual) corner
GachaC videos!! It started out in the booth where HiroC and OnoD did jan ken to figure out who would have to wear the Gachapin costume. Listening on the radio, you could already hear the loud noise when HiroC hit OnoD on the arm, but I guess if you watch the video, you can tell that HiroC really did hit OnoD hard. .^^; GachaC got scolded by a Lawson employee when he tried to go buy karaage. The last of the footage was GachaC’s “Dosukoi~ Dosukoi~” Watching the video, HiroC remembered the horrors and OnoD pointed out that his eyes were dead, haha.
  • Quiz corner
This is something Suwa san wanted to do. Instead of having concrete answers, the “correct” answers would be decided by Suwa san
  • Dear Voice
As usual, they had the audience participate. The audience had to say, “HiroC, are yatte~ (HiroC, do that~)” and “OnoD, are yatte~ (OnoD, do that~).” What HiroC and OnoD responded with was an adlib and we’ll have to find out next week what they said. HiroC handled his adlib well but OnoD had some trouble. Feeling that he might have messed up a bit, OnoD clung onto HiroC, for which he received a swift kick. I guess it’s not a public recording without OnoD getting kicked, hehe.

Again, the kouroku will be aired next week. The details written above were from a Japanese blog post I found.

Daily Single 9/9

Daily Single 9/9

OnoD’s Kinmokusei single moved up on Oricon’s daily single ranking. For September 9, 2009, it is ranked #5. At this rate, it just might show up in the top 10 of the weekly single chart!

My copy of Kinmokusei just arrived today so here is a short review.

I got the first press, which comes with a 12-page special booklet. The lyrics are written on a separate sheet not attached to the booklet. The booklet is nice but personally I don’t think these are the best photos of OnoD. He’s a little hit or miss sometimes when it comes to photos and I think the photos here are somewhere in between. I absolutely laughed when I saw the photo on page 9. It’s just… yeah… If you’ve seen it, I think you know what I mean. It’s rather CK, haha. I can’t help but chuckle when I look at it. The back of the obi has a photo of a crosswalk scene with OnoD at the other end. I thought that was pretty nice touch since most of the time the back of obis are blank.

As for the songs, I LOVE THEM!! Kinmokusei has a really catchy melody and as usual, OnoD’s singing is great. I reeeeeeeally like the second song, Tori no Yume. It’s very otona ppoi

Kinmokusei

Kinmokusei

(adult-like), similar to Real no Nai Sekai on Kazahana.

There is a PV for Kinmokusei and you can watch part of it at the beginning of AniSon Plus #60 (2009/09/07). The PV is pretty cool so I hope it will be released on DVD sometime. Perhaps when OnoD’s second album comes out? (The PV for Manatsu no Spica, which was originally only streamed via mobile, was included on the DVD for Kazahana.)

Here is an interview with OnoD regarding the upcoming Lantis Matsuri.

In other news, guess who got lucky and scored tickets via lottery for Kiramune Music Festival! 😀 Now I just need to somehow get to Japan in November…
